I can't believe I am a mom of two beautiful boys! Cohen is 3 weeks old today! He was born on Wednesday December 16th at 12:26am, so just after midnight!

I had to be induced again this time around! I swear my body just wants to keep my babes in there forever! I had a lot more pain this pregnancy so I was convinced I would go early and naturally this time, but once my due date rolled around, and then a week more, my doctor told me to be by the phone and wait to find out when to come in to be induced. It's definitely nice to be able to know exactly when you will be going in to labour, especially if it isn't your first child. We were able to have my parents take Grayson which was perfect and so helpful!

On the induction day I had to wait until about 5pm before I ended up getting called in because some of the rooms had to be emptied out. By 7pm I had been admitted and they started my pitocin at around 9 and broke my water. Once they do that, I feel like it is game on. Of course the pitocin is bringing on more contractions, but after your water breaks you can definitely feel a lot more pain!!

I was about 4cm within an hour(I had progressed to 3cm by myself) and so I told the nurse I was ready for my epidural at any point. The anasteseologist had just gone in to the OR and said it would be about an hour or so until he was able to come. My contractions came on so strong and I was 6cm before I knew it. I didn't think I was going to make it, and about 45 mins before I started pushing I ended up getting my epidural! The pushing part was super quick and easy, but I had never been in so much pain leading up to it! The epidural helped a little but I could definitely still feel my contractions because it ended up coming so late!

We had our healthy baby boy at 12:26am, weighing in at 8 pounds 11 ounces! It was so surreal! Grayson came that morning and he was just in awe! It is such an amazing moment when your two kids meet for the first time! We had family and friends visit throughout the day and managed to get a little nap in there. We ended up bringing him home at the 24hour mark because I was so ready for my own bed and I wanted to just be comfy.

We have been adjusting well! These last 3 weeks have been super busy though between family Christmas parties, my hubby's work party and just Christmas and New Years in general! We are so blessed that Cohen sleeps about 4-5 hours straight, he has been a little angel like his brother was! We finally feel like we are caught up on our sleep(although I could always use more! ☺️)and it has been such a memorable time in my life. Grayson has been SO sweet with him! Whenever he is awake he just sits beside him and says over and over Hiiii Cohen! Always giving him kisses and telling him he loves him! It is so heartwarming!! I love my boys and wouldn't have it any other way! I look forward to watching them grow together and become best friends!
