Its our 3rd year celebrating Fathers Day already which is hard to believe! So, I feel like I should be a pro at it by now! haha
Buying a gift for a man is difficult! I don't know if it's because I can't relate to the things they may like or need, or because I never actually know what my husband wants, let alone needs!
I got some great ideas from other Dads of gifts that they would love...
Baseball tickets(family time)
Brewery tour(nice time away)
Bass pro shop gift card/ A store they like to shop at(they can pick out what they need)
And a Round of golf with 3 other Friends.
All great gifts for Dads, in case you want to plan for next Father's Day or they have a birthday coming up!
Another Dad also told me that he usually wants something that he may need at that certain time, and don't have to spend on themselves. Which I totally get! I think as women, we share and vocalize more or what we may be wanting, all the time! Haha right? So men- start sharing! We want to get you the perfect gift too, so let us know what you need or would love to do! 😊
This Father's Day I ended up wanting to do something a little more memorable for my husband. Something that he would enjoy doing with his son. My husband is usually the one that gets me gifts that are amazing and I can never top it! So this year, since it was a Father's Day gift I was trying to be creative with, I figured we could do something as a family! I started thinking and figured out the perfect gift!
My husband is Dutch and loves jam! I remembered telling him a while back about how I used to make jam with my mum when I was younger. He told me that he would love to make it one time, and I remembered!! Since it is strawberry season I decided it would be the perfect gift!
I called my mum and arranged it all for us to do! Today we had a absolute blast picking some amazing strawberries at a local farm. My mum met us out there, and we each picked 14 litres!(2 baskets) It is tough work but SO rewarding once we are able to enjoy the jam. Grayson absolutely loved it too! He worked up a sweat like the rest of us, and he also enjoyed quite a few strawberries too! It was so nice for him to see where the strawberries actually come from. Not just the grocery store all the time!
Gifts are awesome, but time with one another can not compare! We had such an amazing time today, and tomorrow night we will be making the jam! I will be adding more photos tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out! I hope you all spoiled your Dads, and hubby's, if you have little ones like me! Thanks for stopping by, and HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all of you Amazing Dads out there! Hope it was great! 😊
