Simple, Do-it Yourself New Years Eve Makeup

I can't believe it's New Years Eve tonight! New Years for a girl is always more fun! We get to wear more sparkles and glitter do our hair a little bigger and wear our makeup a little louder, and not feel totally out of place!

I wanted to share a more simple look that is still more than everyday makeup, but simple enough to attempt for an event you may have going on tonight!

First I always apply a thin layer of concealer over the top of my eyelids.(with your fingers is fine) Then I apply my eyeshadow primer all over my lid as well. I like Urban decay primer potion, but here I used Elizabeth Mott thank me later primer. Then I used the colour "blonde" from the Gwen Stefani urban decay palette all over my eye. This doesn't have to be perfect, this just creates a base for the other colours to adhere too.

Then I added the colour Anaheim on my whole lid, from my crease down. And then the colours 'zone' and 'punk'(just a dab of each) in my crease line, to create some depth and shape to my eye using a smaller round brush for good precision. And blend blend blend. You can go back in with your highlighter colour and blend with that as well.

Then using your angled brush and the colour 'blackout' draw a thin line above your lashes, from the middle of your eye to the outside corner, then from the inner corner of your eye, meeting up the the colour in the middle.   I then apply a light coat of Loreal voluminous mascara, and then my favourite Ardell lashes in 'wispies.' Then I go over my lash line one more time with my liner brush and black powder so the lash strip is covered.   Don't forget your brows! I use an amazing twist up brow pencil in 'caramel' by Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Then smiling, I add more bronzer on the apples of my cheeks blending upward. Add bronzer on your forehead and your temples. And to create more structured jaw I always add bronzer along my jawline.

Then I added the leftover brown on my brush and blend a little colour on my bottom lash line, finishing with a little bit of mascara.    And you can't forget your LIPS! Here I used 'Flat out Fabulous' by Mac and blended it with my favourite lipgloss by Revlon, in super natural.
