I can't believe this is Grayson's third Halloween already! Although this year has been the first year he has decided on his own costume and picked out his own pumpkin! It's so great to see him excited about it all!       We went to the pumpkin patch which was a success. When we go to certain events he is super excited and then once we get there he is not totally sure about it. The pumpkin sling we did first, and he loved. There is a train that runs though the farm and he would wave to them as they went by. When we asked if he wanted to go on it, he would say no thank you before we even finished our sentence! We always go on the wagon ride every year since we started this tradition, so we don't even ask him about it. He will sit in between us with this look on his face, and just stare at everything happening. Once we are off it, he will tell us everything that went on while we were on it. As a Mother I am totally okay with how cautious he is about things he is unsure of. It is actually the sweetest thing! He wanted his own "baby pumpkin" and Jesse had to get a "Daddy pumpkin" that he helped pick out. We ended up having to throw out his baby pumpkin before we got to the carving, because he carried it (and dropped it) everywhere he went! So we all did the Daddy one together. He wasn't sure about how he felt when he saw what was inside the pumpkin and I tried to get him to touch it, but he enjoyed scraping some out. He loves to help with everything, so when Jesse was drawing the face, he would help with some crayons. And when Jesse was cutting out the face, he would help with his plastic knife. All in all, our first time carving together went really well!   I am looking forward to this Saturday when we all get to dress up and do some trick or treating!      -Alana Snoei
